Chain Cow

After a coffee session in our local cafe, I followed Daily Coyote's advice last November and began to blog on a daily basis...

Her blog is EXTREMELY popular...

so I figured she knew what she was talking about!

I have made the attempt valiantly...

though not perfectly...

and along the way...

I have made friends of the internet variety.

Following links...

reading comments...

it is amazing how time flies when you are reading great stories or peeking into other people's lives!

Somewhere along the way I met Susan at www.stonyriver.ie

Lord, she could make me laugh...

She could also make me cry...

She could make me think...

and I began to comment on her blog.

With most of a continent and an ocean between us...

I found a friend.

One that takes wonderful photographs of Ireland.

One that <insert my children's groans and moans>  is also a Star Trek fan.

Yeah...

that's me...

I've had the hots for Captain Kirk for a LOOONG time.

<sigh>

<or was that heavy breathing?>

Mensal (Mensan? Mensa-ite? Mensa-ian? I'm too dumb to figure it out!) Susan dreams about Mr. Spock...

Poor Dr. McCoy is left out in the cold again...

In one of her blogs, Susan had a little competition.

The prize?

A tiny bovine from Chick-fil-A that Susan got in the States while on vacation!

I'm telling this because...

I WON!

She arrived a while back.

Kinda cute if you're into that beany baby style...

I think everyone in cities must believe all cows are black and white...

and wanna go live in California...

yeah, right...

Honestly, I had a problem with the cutesy little dairy cow promoting chicken.

You see...

this is a BEEF cattle ranch...

where sometimes we get a tad cranky when dairy farmers dump their surplus dairy cows on the beef market and flatten out *our* prices...

where we promote ALL-AMERICAN BEEF, not CHICKEN!

So while the little black and white Holstein posed with the rimrock and cattle in the background...

I whipped out my pocketknife.

I'd fix the little sucker...

AHHHHHH!

MUCH BETTER!

I have a GREAT idea...

since this little heifer began her "life" on a blog from Ireland...

and came to a blog in Wyoming...

I believe she should continue her travels in blogland...

so...

who wants to be next?

How about you, Daily Coyote?

Or Kari up in Montana at http://montanaforreal.blogspot.com (who routinely makes me spew coffee all over my monitor and keyboard)?

Anyone interested in this well-traveled, miniscule, chain-letter/blog heifer?

Awww...adorable puppy pic! I throw my hat in the ring for the heifer if she's got a yen for California. Of course, we all know what will happen to her if Charlie and Chloe get hold of her LOL!

    your puppy is ADORABLE.
And for the record, Dr. McCoy is quite dreamy in his own right. And pretty darn funny!

Hey, I know California cows are happy... but, just doubted that ALL cows want to be Happy California Cows!    A tour of Barbie's Malibu house sounds wonderful... I'm sure this heifer could leave some special "presents" for Barbie throughout the house!

I? Love this. I also have one of those Chik-fil-a cows, but I have never had an opportunity to take such a fantastic picture of her. We'd be happy to have her in North Carolina. No beef ranch here, but maybe she'd like to be photographed at a psych hospital (where I work, not where I live)?

Also? Adorable puppies. And I heart Dr. McCoy.

Dr. McCoy was a Southern Gentleman to the core... I'd take him NEXT!  I think this cow may be well traveled by the time it is all over... and NC, I hear, is beautiful!  Thanks for the offer!

Hmm...that new Star Trek movie comes out on DVD this week...it's not Shatner, but I shall have to rent it.

I fear little Kendry Cow would get not stay on a fence post long around here. Chan thinks all stuffed animals are his, which has resulted in at least one comical episode where he was zooming around with a pink poodle stuffie that belongs to one of the little girls next door. Thankfully, the neighbors think he is goofy and adorable.

Hi Carol we've been reading your Blog for a while now. Came here via The Daily Coyote. We wanted to let you know how much we enjoy reading about life on your ranch.

Not sure that little cow would enjoy being with us. We're over-the-road truck drivers and could take her to all the lower 48 . . . but we're not livestock haulers. Ha,ha.

Keep up your great stories and giving us a glimpse into life on a Wyoming ranch.
