I keep returning to the Mills place to paint and clean and arrange.
Finally today the end is in sight for my “Indian” room.
Although I’m a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, my Indian collection is pretty much a reflection of the high plains area of Wyoming.
I had made a list of everything I *could* put in there… and I’m going to have to cut back on the items! Some will have to remain in my living room where they co-exist with my cowboy collection!
I entered this with anticipation…
but am sad to say…
I’m rather disappointed at the look.
It began this way.
Empty it of items…
prime…
paint…
create…
and today it looks like this…
Far from being finished, (obviously with no bedspread!) I don’t like it.
The colors are wrong.
My wall color is too “pink”.
The brown not dark enough.
The blue matches though!
My enthusiasm dwindled and I left the remainder of my items on the bed…
Now I don’t know what to do.
To do two more coats of paint is very unappealing right now!
If I had $1200 I’d buy this bedspread!
Well.
No, I wouldn’t… but it’s pretty neato anyway!
I’ll just let it settle and then decide what to do.
Tomorrow we make a flying trip to Laramie to Daniel’s graduation from the University of Wyoming! I do plan on posting… but be warned… it will be LATE!
So, since you’ll have plenty of time to think… and it is the first week of May… let’s do another Question and Answer for Sunday.
Enter your questions in the comments section of this posting and I’ll do my best to answer them on Sunday.
I’ll think on my room as well!
