Western Transformation
I've avoided the heat as of late, if I can, by working on this little project.
Purchased for $5 at a garage sale, two of these wooden handmade lamps caught my eye.
Nice, but kind of blah.
My process?
Deconstruct a wire clothes hanger, bend it, then heat it up over my gas stove...
<Which was kind of stupid... wasn't I trying to avoid the heat outside???>
I "branded" the lamps...
and turned them into western accessories!
This was the result!
I like 'em!
And while I was at it... my $2 mirror underwent the same transformation!
you are always on to something new...i just wish i had your energy! or better yet...why don't you come to my house and re-decorate for me =o)

How adorable! I have been trying to find a lamp for my remodeled guest bedroom which is being decorated western...great idea! Thanks for sparking my brain for new ideas for myself!

You are too clever. How did you do that again? The stove actually made the hanger hot enough to do that? I am amazed. They are very nice lamps and the shades are perfect.

The lamps are terrific... Do you have a little wood burning kit? That would work great... My son is burning little kitty paws into a spiral step staircase pole for kitties to climb up for our area adopt a pet. It is working great and you could do so much with one with your talent.....But you did an amazing job with a hanger....
