It'll Work
We helped our neighbors ship their old and open cows and some weaned calves today. They didn't have too many, so it was a relaxing event for us. Although Lucas is rarely relaxed around cattle if he thinks he can help!
He and I stayed out of the way for the last bit and tried some work photos...

Like this one of our neighbors and our good natured truck driver...
My entire family has been here this weekend... and I only pulled out my camera today...
Duh.
That was a BAD move.
I could have had a group shot with some fall color... but didn't EVEN think of it until today... and Victoria and Matt left last night.
Yeah... some days I'm sharper than others!
So I picked on my youngest today. He hasn't been home in FOREVER... he needed to be picked on...

Trying to hide while secretly taking photos gives you these kinds of photos... corral boards blocking half of his face!
Oh! This one's a little better!

But standing in the open and pointing my telephoto lens at my *baby* ends up with this as a result...

He *loves* giving me this goofy face. He and Daniel both have done it for years.
It's annoying to me... but I suppose that's why they do it!
And, yes, the facial hair is *new*... evidently taking 23 (!) credit hours at college leaves you no time to shave...
Actually, he said it was for his Halloween costume.
Imagine him in a white "wife-beater" tank undershirt... leather jacket... and trim up the beard just a teensy bit...
Now give me "the Look"...

Yup, that's pretty good...
He's going as Wolverine... aka Hugh Jackman.
I think it'll work, how about you?

I think he needs to work on the tweaked up eyebrow. The eyes are right there. But the cap has to go! LOL!

Just wanted to let you know that here on the east coast your posts provide a fantastic escape from homework/insomnia/studying for those nights that I'm up late. Thanks for sharing!
Also, I think a while back you said you'd be interested in sharing some dog training tips if people were interested -- I am! I have tons of dog experience, but ZERO with herders. I think it'd be quite interesting.

Jess, sure wish you'd talked about your Halloween decorations before... I could have sent some in the mail! What do you like? I mean, besides Brandon???

"It'll work" for Brandon!
I think the doggies need little Halloween scarves and their photos taken outdoors before the leaves are gone! That would be a cute bunch.

He is a handsome one. We went through and culled our cows today. Tomorrow we ship the calves and old ladies. Then pretty much time off until the snows come.
