A New Craft Support Group
Seems like there's a rush going on...
Snow and highs in the low 40's are predicted for next week...
So we're busy putting up, cleaning up, fixing up what we don't want to get frozen or too wet.
Vernon headed to the badlands to repair a tank that was leaking... and he didn't seem to need me to stand there and supervise... (yay!) so I spent most of the day sucking up cottonwood leaves with my lawnmower. It's a big job... and I was doing great until I ran over a large bone. Minor repairs are now needed on the lawnmower...
Oops.
Leaf removal is a slow boring process... not overly worthy of photographs...
But I do have something exciting to talk about!
I have been wanting to create Vernon's Christmas present... and a blogger friend was going to teach me. Well, she's started it on her blog and so I'll be linking to it for those of you who'd like to join in the fun!
We're making woolen saddle pads.
She says they're LOTS of work, but well worth it.
Wool lets your horse's back breathe... keeping the sweat from rubbing them raw.
I don't have all my materials yet, but that's OK. We're letting my Canadian friend be the teacher and we can go along at our own pace!
I guess I should introduce her... Her name is Linda Pierson from "Just Another Day on the Prairie" and she lives on a ranch in Alberta. Visit her blog and read her "About Me" page. I'm pretty sure that'll tell you enough about her that you'll want to visit her blog regularly!
Let's go ahead and get started with her first entry ...
It ought to take us a while just to get through this FIRST step!

New camera is working well! But it depends on the user's eye to get that
beautiful photo of the antelope today.
The shadow make the background look like
sand dunes. Beautiful colors, too.

Carol, I love your site. I saw a comment on our site the other day from you and thought I would visit. I was born and raised in Cheyenne, so looking at your site is almost like visiting home. I have enjoyed it very much.
