This blog is my photographic journal of daily life on a Wyoming Centennial Ranch... 100 years in the same family! The dogs are English Shepherds, the cattle are Angus, the stories true! Also find me

Regarding your last posts... over 70 readers sounds like a high number to me. Also "pride comes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall." (you can slap me now... lol) I wonder if your readership is counted if one has it on Google Reader, or the like. I have you on my reader, and don't always click over here. Reply to this

Sandy, no one has lived there in 28 years! We had a hired man who stayed there a while, but there's just a bed and old stove in there. The building is divided in half and the other half was the old blacksmith shop. I've talked about renting it... but I'm a lone voice in the prairie! Reply to this

Marilyn, it only has a sod roof... so doesn't really qualify as a soddie... but it appears in the first photos we have of this place... 1909. It might have been built by the previous owner, I'm not sure. Reply to this

I love that picture. Reminds me of my grandmother's place in Big Horn when I was a child. The antlers, the log cabin, the snow. Love it.
