Random

I'm blank.

No, I take that back.

I have multiple topics dancing around in my head, but no focus, no singular thought.

If I don't watch out, I'll still be awake when the NFR comes on!  For those of you who don't know, that's National Finals Rodeo.  In Vegas, baby!

Many rodeo fans will be groggy at work for the next week, because for some reason, it has to be broadcast horribly late, except for the final go round.

Vernon and I went there with friends a long time ago... it was fun... and as I recall, I think my hair was curly.  I just remember a photo... and it was NOT pretty.  Oh, my.  The rodeo was awesome though!  I also remember saying that the hotel I stayed in... the Excalibur... could house the entire population of Ten Sleep... and everyone could have a private room.

Vernon and Daniel had some bad excitement after the bull sale today... evidently a young Montana highway patrolman was shot and killed in Three Forks, Montana... which also happened to be where the bull sale was.  I guess the town was locked down for a couple of hours.  The suspect was found dead later.  A sad situation.

I put up a few more Christmas decorations around... but nothing is completed and therefore not worthy of a photo... yet!

I'm starting work on my wool saddle pad.  Somehow or other, one size of my roving is the right size... the other is very small.  I need to correct that, or hope I have enough of the dark grey.

Who else is working on one?  Send me updates and we can have an online convention!

I, actually, for real!, get to pick up my calendars and start mailing them out tomorrow!   YIPPEE!

I also am setting up the wreath for the Festival of Trees tomorrow... pictures will appear!

I believe my coffee mugs should arrive tomorrow as well, so I can post a pic of them and post it in my shop!

Boy, tomorrow may be a Big Day.

It should be because I just used three exclamation points.

I apologize...

sometimes I'm just random.

For kicks and giggles tonight... here's a pic of Johnny's mom... my kids' great grandmother... just a glimpse into history since I'm reading Wyoming Range War by John W. Davis... and I'm in the mood for old photos!

Great picture, I think it is of Grandma Greet. She was a beautiful woman in every way.

Should have read your description a little closer. You do identify the lady as Grandma Greet.

They say "Idle hands are the devils workshop" but I believe you are going to have a devil of a time getting to all that was said. Sending luck.

Great photo. I can't imagine riding a horse in a skirt. (me in the skirt, not the horse. lol) Now that I think about it, these days I can't imagine doing much of anything in a skirt.

If one roving is half the size of the other you might be able to "double" it and use it that way. I love old pic's.

Love the picture. It reminds me of my grandmother who grew up on a ranch in Big Horn.

Love the picture of your grandmother. I have similiar pictures of my grandmother and granfather in Colorado, I love looking at them and thinking about their lives.

I can't wait to see your blanket. I'm kicking around starting one for my horse but am wondering if I would be taking on too big of a project and with the cost of the materials I would want to finish it.

That is sad . . . and scary! Glad you guys are OK, and good luck with your saddle pad. That sounds like an undertaking.

Loved the picture of your family's great-grandmother. She is pretty! And could have been an early startlet in those old black and white movies! Bet she'd love one of your horse blankets!
