A Walk

When Victoria comes for a visit, we HAVE to take the dogs for a walk.

Mine, because it helps keep any crankiness level low with the visitors...

Hers, because they're "townies" and when they're here, they just want to RUN.

And Jazz and Sadie can outrun all of my dogs!

My dogs have to stop and hunt when a good whiff of something under the snow catches their attention.

And Sadie tries to join in...

Jazz is usually too busy ZOOMING.

Elsa hates snowballs in between her toes.

After breaking through crusty and soft snow... Lucas is ready to soak up some sunshine.

Let's see... English Shepherds... Red Dirt... Photography...

Who *IS* that woman?

Like mother... like daughter...

Oh, the beauty of each of these dogs is sooo extraordinary. The most wonderful thing, though: Lucas without tape!?! I've been meaning to ask ever since I followed a link to a post last year about poor Lucas' paw not healing. Now it seems I've seen several pictures of him sans bandage. Has the wound healed completely? Oh my, that would be such great news - keeping my fingers crossed!

I don't think there is a greater simple pleasure than watching dogs just run, with no destination or goal. I envy my dogs the ease with which they can run at full speed for about as long as they want.
