The Casper Look
While I seemingly still remain disconnected from many of my former duties during calving season, I'm still busy.
I may not be wandering through the heifer lot, or helping tag newborns, but I *am* still working on my house!
We were gifted an old used pool table which we re-felted... and now I'm painting and creating the "man cave" downstairs.
I still have TONS of stuff at the other place, but a carload less today than yesterday.
Then I have to reinstall everything in *this* house...
Nothing earth shattering, nor insightful...
but when I get a few more things on the walls...
I'll share.
But I *do* have special news...
Thursday and Friday and most likely Saturday, I shall leave on a trip to Nebraska! Why? How can I leave during what I keep touting as The-Busiest-Time-of-Year-for-Ranchers ?
Well, Daniel has taken over my ranch duties...
and I *HAVE * to go...

Little Miss Dally is in heat!
I have... after much debate and painful consideration... decided on her boyfriend... and hopefully... she'll find him equally appealing.
So.
The Cat is Out.
I hope I haven't jinxed us!
The next few days will be crazy, wish us well!
Dally, of course, is not allowed to go with her mom and dad on walks temporarily. So this photo just captures long haired Elsa with what Wyomingites call The Casper Look. No matter the style and the cut, in Casper all hairstyles are windblown...

i am afraid that i have just about as many different shades of hair as elsa...perhaps a little more gray =o) good luck with your "romantic" trip with dally. don't forget the candles and marvin gaye...

i can totally relate with the wind-blown casper look; casper is where i was raised. i have to go there often to visit family. do not miss the wind!! sandy's comment is hilarious - marvin gaye!!
