Tully, Romance, and Photos

This has been an exciting day for me...

Another of my photos has been made a finalist in Beef Magazine's "Summer Grazing" contest.  Strangely enough... amongst my 9,000 photos on my computer... not many were of cattle just GRAZING.

Duh.

I've got moving cattle, branding cattle, feeding cattle, etc. etc. but just standing around?  Not so much!

I might have to change that!

(Should you feel the urge, you can vote for my photo, #7, "Nothing Like Green Grass")

Everyone's wonderful ideas for Monday Movies has been truly appreciated!

Shall I change the name to Minute Movies and post them more frequently?

It seems to be a *very popular* idea...

I also did a guest blog today.

I met Kari online... quickly becoming a fan of her Montana For Real blog.  She also writes occasionally for Everybody Needs a Little Romance.  She couldn't do it this week, and asked me to fill in.

Yeah, me... writing on a Romance Blog!

I know, it made me giggle too.

The subject, however was "Cowboys", and I *do* have a few pictures to fill *that* theme.

So, I did what I do here...

Post a photo.

Write.

Only this time, I pretended to write the opening paragraph for a romance book!

Ya gotta go look and see what ya think!

It was great fun!

As usual, your input is welcome!

I'll leave you with a "romanticized" photo from the Tully Place.

This little homestead boasts a long sod roofed cabin just begging to be explored.  Did I?  No.  We were looking for cattle, and didn't have time... plus we hadn't asked permission... but it sure is a pretty little place!

I need to remember... Tully is a cute name for a pup!

Loved your romance novels. So, wasn't there a mention somewhere, sometime, of you telling the story about how you and Vernon met? Somehow, the line about a game of pool made me remember . . .

I failed and never got around to writing it.  Every time I tried, it just didn't sound right.  But, yes, it did begin with a game of pool!
