Treasures
My sister is visiting from Texas... and we finally decided to do something FUN, instead of either cooking or cleaning or rebuilding!
It was a last minute decision, but we decided to go look for treasure!
We headed for a cabin and found a few...
Hand hewn logs...
An original bar "keeper" (as in "Katie, bar the door!")...
Harness hardware...
A button...
Then we went to a dugout and found some great pottery...
Even the top and handle to a jug...
We made piles of purple glass and stoneware and harness and cool rocks...
And even found a Butternut Coffee lid that had be repurposed for something...
We found all sorts of treasures...
but the best?
Time spent in each other's company!

WOW! What a fantastic day you two must have had! Always so interesting and thought provoking to visit abandoned places with so much history that you can only guess about. Some real tough characters back in those days!
