Baby Blankets

Victoria bought the fabric and designed the look, but *I* made her baby quilts!  I have one completely finished... as of this afternoon!

I did some handquilting on it... "caterpillar tracks" squiggles in a huge X across the green squares... and then in a diamond shape through the colored squares.

The back is blue flannel.

The top is finished for the other quilt... which has the multi-colored squares with big BLUE squares and is backed with GREEN flannel.  A few more evenings of handstitching and bias binding making... and it will be done!

It goes VERY fast while *listening* to the tv!  It's kinda nice to sit on the couch with a blanket on my lap!

I'll finish it soon, just in time for the big cold front headed our way.  I'll be happy to switch over to that big ol' wool saddlepad that's been sitting in my living room corner since spring... maybe I can finish it...

Now that is what I love. Quilt making and quilting. Victoria has great color ideas. I have to take my kids with me cuz I can't do colors. Yes the saddle blanket. The ranch slows down a bit and the cold sets in, time for indoor stuff.

I am a few days late commenting on the beautiful baby quilts! The colors could represent the green fields of your ranch, the blue of the creeks, the golden fall leaves, the red sun, and the yellow grains of the harvest season. They are lovely!
