Spent 80% of today making applestuff...
Two big 9x13 pans of apple crisp...
Dried apples...
Applesauce...
I'm pretty tired of peeling apples... and most were even huge softball sized ones, so it went fast!
I also supervised Daniel's cutting up of his antelope for jerky... though I wasn't much help... I was too scared of burning my applesauce!
At least the day was a "good" day for this work...
The rain I woke up to switched to snow pretty fast.
Cow work has been delayed a day or two... we try to be fairweather cowboys! But soon we'll be mounted and moving cattle once again.
I can quit being a diy-er blog and cooking blog and photographer blog and go back to being a ranch blog, for a day or two.
Though by now you realize this ranching blog *IS* a diy-ing, cooking, photographing blog with dog hair... comprende?
Me neither.
I'm headed for bed!

it is so hard for me to comprende that there are parts of the country getting snow! We are having amazing weather that consists of cool mornings and 80 degree afternoons. Perfect fall weather!!
However I do feel a late year coolness when I am outside in the shade... not cold, but a hint of the cooler weather that will eventually come. I am now planting poppy nasturtium seeds for fall color and herbs to enhance our meals and help with some herbal salve that's always needed one way or another!
I read every day even though it's not always here on the website. Wish I was there for the apple crisp--wanna share the recipe?

I may offer a few... I ordered A LOT of calendars this year, so that's my main focus, but I do love those mugs! I'll see what kind of deal I can get...
