Come Back Tomorrow

OK...

This has been a very cool day!  I mean, as in awesome, wonderful!

Brandon and Megan and Quinlan are still here... so there's the visiting and babysitting going on... wonderful in its own way...

But, finally, this afternoon, I needed some "airing out"... too much cooking, etc!  Me and my shadows hit the trail.

Typical walk.

I took some Dogs In The Creek Photos...

I took some Dogs Digging For Moles Photos...

I took some video of the creek water... (perhaps for a future Minute Movie)

I took some Pretty Dog Photos... (for Wordless Wednesday)

I took some Dogs and Shadows and Rocks Photos...

I took some Oh Look at the Colorful Rock Photos...

Forgot to crop my boot out of that one!

Oh, well!

I took two, maybe three, more steps... and then!

Then!

This!

Right here, my heart rate hit about 200!

I did the little Happy Snoopy Dance!

I yelled, "Thank you!" to the listening gods who had just smiled mightily on me!

C'mon, you can see it!

Right there above the loose red dirt!

I got so excited, my dogs got excited too!

I took more photos...

I took more video for a movie I'm working on for tomorrow...

I did the Snoopy Happy Dance again...

In fact...

I'm still doing the Snoopy Happy Dance!

Tomorrow, I'll head out after the kids leave for Laramie and finish and gather this up... unless we decide we want Brandon's muscles...

I'm actually sore this evening... my right arm and neck... and the tips of my fingers are numb.  Tore up my fingernails.  Good thing I don't believe in manicures.

I don't know how long I spent down there digging this up... but I had to quit because I was running out of daylight... and I KNOW this is going to be HEAVY.  Nothing I wanted to pack back to the house by myself!!!

Oh, I'm so THRILLED!

YOU JUST HAVE TO COME BACK TOMORROW FOR THE MOVIE!!

Darn it,Carol! I am too old and too inpatient to have a wait a day to see an incredible find. I looked all summer for a plain old arrowhead and found zilch. I so want to make a discovery of something ancient and unique. This is plain not fair. How is it that some people just "see' things and others (me) completely miss?

I see a ridge of earth that would seem to indicate something underneath it, but if that's not it, I'm as clueless as everyone else.
