We did saddle at six…
Which, honestly, is late compared to how we did it in the “olden days”! Saddle at four was more like it!
But that’s ok…
It turned into a long enough day as it was… No big wrecks, it just takes time to gather a pasture, sort out the neighbor’s cows, and then trail ours through various pastures, one of which was occupied, so we had to kick other cows out of our way!
Lunch was at 3 after we finished… and we got home by six pm.
Dally and I are both tired… but I’m sharing some great news!
My concrete for my studio comes tomorrow! and if I wasn’t so tired, I’d stand and do a <happydance>, but as it is, think I’ll just smile… and go to bed!
Yeehaw!
Find me here!
Gosh, don’t just love a good horse that patiently stands there waiting for the saddle? Such noble creatures and so willing to serve.
Most of them don’t know that when they come, but they learn! And then if you have to do it out in the open… they remember and it helps so much! I love it!
Yippee! the long-awaited concrete! 🙂 It’s really going to be so nice for you to finally have your studio, and to see it’s completion via the blog.
I LOVED the stable scenes, also.
Didn’t realize I haven’t taken pics that early… but I’m usually slow at saddling anyway! Just have to remember to turn off the flash!
thank you for sharing your wonderful day.
You’re quite welcome!
good Dally…
Headed to OK City today for the long weekend. I maybe pure Texan, but I have to give a tip of the hat to my ‘Northern’ neighbors, they have some great things to do up there.
Can’t wait to see the after pics of the new floor!
I agree… My favorite statue is there at the Cowboy Hall of Fame… on your way to the End of The Trail massive sculpture is a lifesize statue of the Little People. Can’t remember what it is called… but I wish I had a copy! I took my kids to the Science Museum there too… it’s amazing!
Ohh, happy happy happy! You’re getting concrete! 😀 I love the stable scenes! Looks so cozy.
I am happy happy happy!
