The Silent Auction was tonight and we had a good turnout. It warmed up to 18 degrees today, so everyone was loving the “heat wave” and ready to get out of the house!
I *DID* finish my Father Christmas… and I turned him into a stocking. He didn’t fit the stretcher bars I had, and the stocking was perfect!
He brought in $31. Not too bad!
The library was *the* place to be tonight!
While we were all milling around, eating cookies, drinking wassail, laughing and visiting… my favorite photo was this one.
There is NOTHING that warms a librarian’s heart more than seeing a child forget everything and fall into the pages of a good book!
Thanks to the people of Ten Sleep, who support our little library so well! You are the heart of the library!

How wonderful! Reminds me of the Library in the small town where I was raised. I was the boy on the floor with my face in a book. My Mom began working in that Library when I started high school and worked there for over twenty years.
I agree with you about the photo of the young reader. Your Father Christmas stocking is beautiful.
Father Christmas turned out exceptionally well! Great job. I’d love
one, too, if you make them available.
Glad your library benefitted from your wonderful artistic ability.
Love Father Christmas. Are you thinking about making these available for purchase next year?
Love Father Christmas….shows you have a good eye for perspective and details!
