Take a Look

Posted on March 1, 2017February 28, 2017

Well, I’m trying something “new”… I would share so many more videos, but it takes me forever to make them, upload them, and then have them processed.  If I don’t start early in the day, it just doesn’t happen.

Pretty much all of my videos are posted on vimeo… there’s 150+!  Through the years, I’ve been encouraged by many just to post to YouTube, and heaven knows I go there for all sorts of things myself.  I’ve been reluctant because of quality and the fact that if people know my blog, they know to go to vimeo (or at least my links just take them there), and I didn’t have to worry about the bazillion people that hate ranchers finding me quite as easily.

At this moment in time, I’m tired of making my videos “pretty”, with editing and titles and transitions… or at least I’m tired of the *time* that it takes to make a finished project.  Believe me, I *like* the titles and transitions and editing!

So, I’ve posted a short video from the other day on YouTube.  No title.  No transitions.  No editing. No final credit.  It’s as raw as it can get… but it’s there.  I know I will hate it!  If you don’t mind, though, perhaps I can live with it.  Or I can start saving for a new mac computer… that *might* help!  Ha!

Take a look… tell me what you think!

Oh, yes, and… new month… new Q&A time.  Post your questions here!

I like the unedited version and don’t mind a little lower quality. The Internet here can only handle so much, so a “lighter” video is good. Of course I enjoy high quality video too. I just can’t watch too many of them. That video sure takes me back! The mama all nervous and jumpy as the calf stands, or tries to stand…. it was just so familiar. 🙂 I miss having more animals around and hope one day that changes.

I’ve never seen anything like that before (although I’ve had two children). Birth is always a miracle. Thank you!

This is good. I think your videos are popular. Maybe YouTube will help you reach a bigger audience.

I enjoyed watching the video, and I especially enjoyed hearing the conversation in the background. Gotta love that Wyoming sound. My opinion – just do your videos when and how and where you want. Just let us know how to get to them. Love ’em.

I love the video in its natural state. I like it “real”.. just normal life going on watching this latest birth . I’m not a fan of music & subtitles… just show me what is happening .. very nice!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I miss seeing the little ones transition from unborn to busy little calves. This little one is lucky to have sunshine and no snow for the process!
