As I wandered the Ten Sleep Rodeo grounds, trying, unsuccessfully, to walk Miss Reagan into her afternoon nap… I spied a friend talking with other people I didn’t recognize. But what really caught my eye, was a handsome dog also standing in the group.
I had to ask.
“HI! Excuse me, but what breed is that dog?”
English Shepherd.
“Mmmmm. I thought so. I used to breed English Shepherds.”
“Really? What’s your name?”
“Carol Greet. Rimrock English Shepherds.”
“OOOOOH! You’re the reason we own this dog!”
Well, that’s the Reader’s Digest version of our conversation. Come to find out, they were familiar with two of my pups… Joe Henry and Jack… and decided to get an English Shepherd for their next dog.
Meet Wrangler.
He’s a 10 month old, clear sable from Nebraska. He’s all leg and he seems very LOOONG, but it’s just that teenage phase. The clear sable means he won’t have the shading, or dark guard hairs like Lucas, Elsa, and Eden have. He will be this ‘palomino’ color always.
Isn’t he handsome?
I’m glad I interrupted their conversation… and found out we had this connection!
It’s a small world…
Find me here!
Seems you met some friends of Mine Carol. Did they tell you Wrangler’s sister Molly Bee is living with Jack ? I am glad you got to meet them , I have mentioned you often. When dog sitting they have brought Joe Henry over to visit Jack and Wrangler comes to visit as well.
They did say you got his sister. That’s great! How’s Jack doing? So you guys have your own English Shepherd gathering… that’s neat! I like her name…
He is still getting along OK, the cancer has slowed him down a bit and he gets tired fast, Molly Bee is his constant companion and has been good for his spirits and gets him to play with her, and he has taught her a lot in return, His quality of life has continues to be good.
So gorgeous!! What a happy story that started with your blog familiarizing folks with the wonderful English Shepherd!
It’s a small English Shepherd world… 😉
Isn’t special to know that you are a played a part in someone’s life.
Yup… you? 😉
Serendipitish!
Yes!
How cool is that!?!
Right?
