Where I’m From

Posted on January 17, 2021January 17, 2021

Well, again, just a bit too busy to make a movie… but I’ll have Jaxon stand in for me tonight. Here’s a paper he did for school, and I’m a big fan of this style, and, you’ll have to admit, this is truly precious.

Reagan at Three

Posted on November 29, 2020November 29, 2020

I know. It’s late. There’ll be no movie tonight because I just can’t stay awake for the next few hours to create one! I will, however, share Reagan’s three year old photos with you… Now, I just shared Jaxon’s eight year old photos… which we took in about half an hour… amazing at the difference…

Cowboy Birthday

Posted on November 16, 2020November 16, 2020

We’ve tried to take his birthday photos, but it’s snowed and blown, and it’s been COLD… but we finally *did* have his birthday party. He chose a cowboy theme… Huh. Where did he get that idea? Dunno. But it sure looks good on him! Happy eighth birthday, Jaxon!

Grossness

Posted on September 4, 2020September 4, 2020

I debated about sharing this… It’s gross. It made me say some bad words. So, if you’re not interested in unsavory medical anomalies, maybe you should just skip this post and I’ll see you tomorrow. Here’s your chance. See ya later… OK. Three and a half months ago, Daniel tipped over his four wheeler. Thank…

Petroglyph Proof

Posted on September 1, 2020September 1, 2020

After our trip back in to history to the Lewis homestead cabin, we went even farther back in history with a side trip to petroglyphs. Just like The Dugout, I have written about the petroglyphs before. You might want to click through and read the link first. I was wondering how they were holding up…

Whisper of Dreams

Posted on August 30, 2020August 30, 2020

Well, sorry. I didn’t make a Re-Red today. It takes at least two hours and I didn’t have time. I will try to put one together tomorrow. We took another trip, this one, however, has been in the works for a few years. Vernon’s cousins have wanted to visit their old family homestead. It sold…

High Five

Posted on August 11, 2020August 11, 2020

I admire people who can set goals and achieve them. I believe my goal setting is below average with rare success! I’m not proud of that part of my personality, but… there it is. I’m thrilled when YOU achieve YOUR goals, though! I was equally thrilled to see Tess accomplish a goal she had set…

Mud Pies Allowed

Posted on August 3, 2020August 3, 2020

I didn’t take photos of the older kids. Everyone got in on the mud pie action with the resulting mess. I made them strip down and learn how to actually SCRUB their clothes. Another teachable moment. How to hang them on my clothesline that they can’t actually reach… another lesson. And they had fun the…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
