In the Lee

Posted on April 5, 2013

We chose to go picnicking last night.  We thought we’d shoot for the burn on the Mesa Pasture… see how it was greening up… but 3/4 of the way there, it was WAY TOO MUDDY.  And just when we had spotted some elk! Mud is good for the Mesa, but bad for picnicking.  It *is*…

Wordless Wednesday – “You’re Not Taking a Picture of Me, Are You?”

Posted on April 3, 2013

Nope, Daniel.  Nope.  I’m not taking a picture of you! **** Winner of the SoapStone to be announced tomorrow!  Yes, there was a winner!  More of a story to tell than I can do on Wordless Wednesday, though!  😉

New Journeys

Posted on March 31, 2013

I hope you had a wonderful Easter! I hope you enjoyed the simple things… (Quinlan applauds the Easter pinwheel) Or perhaps, discovered something new… (Quinlan chasing soap bubbles) At the very least, I hope you spent time with your family… (Johnny visits with Jaxon, his great grandson) **** As a quick aside… I’d really like…

Nobunny

Posted on March 23, 2013October 29, 2014

It’s snowed the past two days… and all that wonderful dirt/mud/tiny green grass that was appearing is now well under 5″ of wet wet snow.  There was more accumulation, but it has condensed! This is great news for the grass that will grow this spring… and the runoff has filled many reservoirs in the badlands…

Bonus

Posted on March 9, 2013

Well… I must say… I’m happy to be able to take walks outside in the mud and ice, just to clear my head from all this… stuff… I’m learning! I even visited the heifers, just to get you some baby calf shots I’ll use in the next few days. I know some of you are…

Very Nice Walk

Posted on February 24, 2013April 4, 2015

Well, the twins and Victoria left about noon… She tried to give the weather a chance to straighten up as we’ve received a bit more snow.  Sure enough, about a half hour after she left, the sun came out and the day turned into Very Nice. We took the boys sledding while they were here……

Something Better and a Love Story

Posted on February 14, 2013March 23, 2013

Well, the highlight of my day was getting a prescription for my cough.  It was a miserable night last night… I’m shooting for something better tonight. I can’t even soothe you with a photo, I don’t have access to my camera cable! I guess we’ll all be miserable together… However, maybe this will appeal for…

Dishrag

Posted on February 2, 2013October 29, 2014

Hmmm.  So what do you do on a gorgeous Wyoming winter day?  Go sledding with the family… Brandon was Champion Sledder Back In The Day… and Quinlan’s learning early in life! It cracks me up that Quinlan just hangs there like a little limp dishrag… while Brandon watches his footing in the deep snow…

“Yes!”

Posted on February 1, 2013October 29, 2014

It snowed a smidge this morning… and I was hoping it might continue on through the afternoon.  I had a date with Daniel and Tess to take their engagement photos, and I thought the large flakes drifting down might lend a romantic air. Plus cut down on the squinting that bright snow brings… No such…

That’s OK

Posted on January 29, 2013April 4, 2015

Well, I spent a lot of time today trying to get a video up and going… but it seems it’s going to be delayed a few days…  The right things just weren’t falling into place. That’s OK. Then, I’m not quite ready on *another* project.  This time I’m offering some unique items for sale… and I…
