I’ve seen beautiful, amazing, impressive, and wondrous things on this trip… But nothing beats the gorgeous darkness of Wyoming’s interstate heading home! I’m not quite there yet, but I will be in my own bed tonight!

When we went sailing, I managed a bit of beachcombing… Looking for seashells for the grandkids and sea glass for myself. I found many great whelks and was thrilled with my prizes. I stuffed them in my treasure net and brought them home. Imagine my surprise later when the net started crawling across the tabletop!…
Some days, even on vacation, you have to stop and clean house… And laundry. Finished up our time at the antique fair… Visited a meadery… Drove to the coast! Spent the day on the water with my sister, nephews, and their girlfriends… and caught that red fish my brother insisted I bring home to him. Sorry, brother, it turned into ceviche for tomorrow!
Yellow bells. Usually the first wildflower to bloom on the prairie. But look again. See the old grass? Still standing. Still nutritious enough to make good feed for cattle. See the green grass? Here it comes… another season of food for cattle and wildlife. Imagine it all gone… burned to a crisp by wildland fires….
