Puppy #1 Rimrock Sadie Lady… still petite… still one of the first to investigate and greet me…
Puppy #2 His name is Rimrock Devon… I’ve had an “English” name in each of my litters to celebrate the “English Shepherd” heritage… first there was Skye and then Bristol… and now little Devon. He’s also up front checking out everything! The Greets came from that part of England… we have the marriage license for George Greet and Elizabeth Ann Reed from the County of Devon, dated 13 July 1862…
Puppy #3 Her possible name is Rimrock Liberty … I’ll call her Libby for now.
Puppy #4 We’ve already met Rimrock’s Patriot Blue… He LOVES me… and yes, the eye is STILL blue…
Puppy #5 He has lots of names… Edan… Jubal Lee… Booker… Hondo… (honda is the ring through which the rope slides to make a loop… Hondo is the John Wayne movie… doesn’t he look like the Duke?) … nothing is sticking!
Puppy #6 His name *might* be Bogie… I had a student tell me their dog’s name was Boggiri… Korean for “Joy has come into my house”… I liked that…but am not sure if it’s appropriate for a male! Bogie could also be a nod to his infamous great great grandfather Butcher’s Augie collapsed into Bogie. I’m thinking on this one…
Puppy #7 He’s a looker… but remains nameless…
Puppy #8 She needs a striking name… as she is really gorgeous.
Puppy #9 Meet Rimrock Lightning Sprite… aka Sprite. I fell in love with lightning photos this summer… and a lightning sprite is a special kind of lightning. It jumps UP from the top of the cloud into the atmosphere. She has this little wisp on her blaze that extends up high to the top of her head… Plus she has a wee bit of the fairy about her as well…
