Sore and Achy Part 1

Posted on May 29, 2009December 29, 2014
Nothing like spending 7 hours on horseback to find those sore places on your saddle.
Ugh.  I’m ready for bed, but there’s some laundry to do… and I NEED a shower.
It was in the 80’s today, so not a lot of fun… and the guys have to irrigate before we ride, so those days of 4 am ridings are behind us.
Not that I liked the 4 am morning rides, but you did get back by about 10 am.
Nowadays we leave at 6 am.  Arrived home at 2:30.  whew.
New horse did good on occasion… he just needs to learn the country, and he’ll be fine.
Dally and Lucas were dogs for today.
Of course, Lucas is exhausted, so he won’t go tomorrow.
Dally is a feisty little turkey.
She did well.
Somehow I need to teach them “get around”… stopping or gathering is an ability my dogs just don’t have.
Too much “Cowboy Driving” with these dogs.

A witness.
In fact, we saw three coyotes today… two were chewing on a black calf…
Well, I’m not inspirational today, just tired.
And we get to make a bigger loop tomorrow.
However, 105 pairs were gathered… yaay!
The camera will stay home tomorrow.  I had to hang my jacket and camera on a post and pick them up later… too hot and too much action to be taking photos.
Good night.  sigh.
