Centennial Traffic

Posted on July 28, 2009January 1, 2015
Ranch “outfits”… definition: motorized transportation/work vehicles
Four wheelers…
Motorcycles…
Pickup trucks…
“Town” cars…
Sometimes we are accused of having too many around here…
Each kid has their car…
We have 3 pickups…
A truck…
3 four wheelers…
Two motorcycles…
My Durango…
Johnny’s car…
But NEVER.
NEVER.
Has this ranch seen this many cars at once!

And there were more…
Down in the field and by the bridge and by the back of the corral…
It helped that we had this sign by the highway…

If you have my eyesight… here’s this…

Our balloons leading the way, lasted MAYBE two hours before they popped due to the occasional wind gust…
Just about the only time you ever see this out in the country is when an auction is being held because a place is being sold.
We hope that NEVER happens here… knock on wood!
It just seems strange, after all these years of quiet and just OUR vehicles, to have this many outfits parked here…

But each one held friends and family…
blessings all.

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
