We moved 100 pairs today from the Mesa to a new pasture leased from a neighbor…
It was mainly me and Daniel and Brandon and S., our neighbor girl.
Vernon and Johnny took the bulls back down to our bull pasture.
Brandon discovered the pains (literally) of riding a colt… with a couple of nice bruises to his face from colliding with the colt’s neck on his way down and off…
I found a new cowdog along the way… he kept up for a mile or so… and my dogs never even knew he was there…
Elsa and Dally enjoyed their day… in tall grass…
The cows trailed quite well since this new pasture is right along where we usually go to our mountain pasture… I LOVE it when they trail well…
Johnny came back to help at the end…
And encouraged us to kick them over one more hill to a bigger reservoir… which we did.
It was a nice day…
what more could you ask for???
