Here we were today…
The guys had gathered our small bunch.
The fifty seven cows are some of ours…
some we lease.
The plan was to wean these calves like we did with our big bunch a few weeks ago.
*MY* plan had been to prepare for the weekend…
but I ended up helping a bit anyway.
They left me alone while they gathered the pasture.
Alone.
With my camera.
And a barn.
And my dog.
And some convenient stunt horses.
Wahoo!
But helping cost me half the day…
and then the Dodge blew its water pump…
and I had to fly to Worland for parts…
which took 2 more hours.
So here I sit…
100 photos of barn, scenery, dog, horses, old stoves, cabins, and fence lay at the ready.
But like usual…
It is 11 pm.
I need to wake up at 4:30 am.
Because this weekend…
in Cody, Wyoming…
I will be attending a Trudy Viklund stockdog clinic with Dally!
I’M SO EXCITED!!
But what that means for you…
Is you get the teaser photo above.
That’s all…
And *nothing* tomorrow…
And if I’m exhausted when I get home Sunday night…
Nothing then either.
I have never left you for two days alone…
but I don’t know how to avoid it.
But when I return…
The barn will make its entrance…
Old cabins will echo their stories…
The land will whisper…
And hopefully…
Dally will be the NEW IMPROVED DALLY… Wyoming Stockdog!
