Yesterday and today were Cowboy Days.
I like these days.
It’s quiet.
It’s relatively easy since the cows know where to go.
It’s fairly easy on the dogs since cows don’t hardly fight without their calves by their side.
I can move a big bunch by myself – which I enjoy immensely – so long as one other person is up front to open the gates!
I can run through the seven bajillion Girl Scout songs I know…
or “The Cremation of Sam McGee”…
or “Big Wicked Bill”…
without an audience except for the dogs.
They only look sideways at me when I belt out:
“IF YOU’VE NEVER OWNED A BIG MALAMUTE,
PERHAPS YOU CAN’T UNDERSTAND,
THAT OLD LONGING I GET, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT,
JUST TO FEEL HIS BIG HEAD IN MY HANDS!”
The newest Panasonic camera arrived… so I have PHOTOS too!
Here’s a few… just to prove I *have* been working…
Yesterday’s morning sunshine… and not a cloud in the sky.
Dally in pursuit along the edge of Otter Creek Canyon.
Atta Girl!
This morning’s sunshine…
A dusty trail in the evening twilight…
Clean-up tomorrow…
then it’s back to the usual!
<If I have a *usual*>
Remember to leave questions in the comment section… Sunday will be the day they get answered!
