Power Outage

Posted on June 7, 2011January 12, 2015

I was rushing to finish mowing my lawn before the thunderstorms hit…

I did.
Then they did.
As I walked into the house, it was dark.  No power.
Musta been a lightning strike somewhere…
I broke out candles and oil lamps and a lantern.
By 9:30, I couldn’t keep my eyes open as we’d been up since 4:30 am.
To bed for me, no way to send out apologies…
But I’ll give you a photo this morning… and a regular post tonight.
Anyone know what kind of flower this is?
It is growing wild in my lawn…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
