And I have exciting news to share…
Monday I’m going on vacation! Yes, like a REAL vacation! I’ve been to librarians’ conventions… and there were those trips to get my custom cowboy hat… but I haven’t been gone for longer than a couple of nights for many, many years.
Where am I going??? Well, I’ll let you figure that out… I don’t want to spill ALL the beans, because, hey, you need to come back and read, right?
But, it is going to be EXCITING.
The next couple of days, I plan on setting things right around here… cleaning a bit, showing Vernon where the leftovers are in the freezer… and hugging the grandkids and petting my pups! I’ll be missing a lot around here. Our mountain gather and preg testing for one. We were supposed to do that last week and got rained out… and we rescheduled and got rained out… and now, I’m going to be gone. I’ll sure miss riding Panama through the colorful aspens and hearing the elk bugle through the firs… but, I gotta take the chance when I can!
Now, don’t think that I’m not going to post… because I AM… but it may be a photo or at different times or I may not be able to connect to the internet or I might be exhausted from all the fun I’ll be having! I really hope to post on Instagram if nothing else… and, yeah, I know lots of you aren’t on Instagram… but it really *IS* fun. If you just go to my blog page at reddirtinmysoul.com and click on the little camera Instagram icon on the right hand side, it’ll take you to my photos. No joining required. You’ll enjoy some photos that I don’t post here. Of course, there’s Facebook too. My favorite vacation places are Wyoming, New Mexico and California. I’ll make a guess that you are going to Santa Fe New Mexico. Lots of art to look at there.

Maledives. OK, seriously, at least say whether it involves intercontinental flight(s)! Of course, what really counts is having a bona fide vacation and a ton of fun. Which I sure hope you will!!
How I wish I could fill in for you and ride Panama across the land of my dreams! (Although I doubt I would wait, like then-little Brandon?/Daniel?, until evening to calmly state “I think my thighs are bleeding.” I’d probably be *hand-walking* Panama after the first hour…)
