Winter’s Two

She started with nine.

Two cracked.

Two hatched.

She bustled after those lucky two, and the rest had cooled down by the time I found them.

    I still look forward to spring time when our local farm store gets their chicks in !
    We always got a bunch when I was a kid,raised hens for laying flock & roosters for the frying pan!
