Irresistible

Posted on July 1, 2019July 1, 2019

One of the things I’ve been watching for a while… are these two little sweeties.

I first spotted the mom (or dad) repeatedly driving home from work. I finally slowed down one day to really *watch*. I shared those photos here. Sure enough, I spotted a likely den. Then, one evening when it was way too dark to take a photo, I spotted three little figures rolling and playing near the den. It took a while before I caught them in daylight…

They weren’t too sure about me at first… and there was no sign of their third sibling. Quickly, the one on the right hid in their den, but the left kit stayed out and soaked up the sun while keeping an eye on me.

Well, most of the time.

Six days later, I caught these…

I hope they continue to use this den… every time I drive by, I look for them or their parents. They’re irresistible subjects! Though if I *did* stop every time, I’d be late for work!

What cute little red foxes! It was fun to see your photos of them. They must not have been very scared of you since you were able to get some great photos of them.

How lucky you are to be able to have spotted these little foxes, and to be able to enjoy their free-spirited play. Excellent photos, too. I felt lucky today because I spotted a yellow finch on my driveway! Maybe all the improvements I’ve been making to my garden beds since I retired has helped. I planted quite a few new flowers that will attract butterflies, too. 🙂

Birds are fun to watch, too! The swallows are really busy right now, eating mosquitoes, and I watch and cheer them on!

They are cute little guys, some years ago the Utility Company I worked for owned a property with several ponds and lots of grass land, we stored steel gas pipe there also, one spring there was a family of foxes out there & the pups loved to play & hide in the pipe, fun to sneak up on’em!
