It was grey and cloudy and cold today and I decided it was a good day to craft!
First I had to reclaim part of my Indian room back from the overflow of Christmas and wrapping paper! Finally settling in, I drew inspiration from a pair of earrings I’d bought for my birthday present. They depicted the northern lights with a silhouette of pine trees in front. I’ve been wanting to do some winter scenes, so it seemed a great place to start.
I struggled a bit, but finally was happy. It was time to cook supper, so off I went. Returning to my project later… I kept thinking I was going to put snow on the trees… and I started to watch some YouTube and, come to find out… I started putting snowflakes in the air. Dotting here and there, thinking I was doing the right thing when I had wanted to put snow on the branches of the tree.
Gah!
If it’s cloudy and snowing, you won’t see the northern lights! Well… poo!
I don’t know if I can fix it… well, it WAS a good idea. Bleh.

You can be ‘creative’ like those Christmas films that have it snowing, yet you can see that the sun is shining as they film. I know that can happen, but false snow and sunshine??????
I think it’s pretty!
