An evening gather avoided the high heat of the day… though, by no means, was it cool.

The glow of the setting sun made for neat highlights.

As they dropped into the field, flies and mosquitoes were everywhere, making for lots of swishing tails and kicks at their bellies.

Not everyone was convinced this was the right direction to go…

They crossed the bridge like champions. The grandkids need to read some of my old posts where the bridge used to be a struggle.

They were dumped into the field overnight to be trucked up the mountain the next day.

Quinlan’s not in this family shot. He’s on a huge FFA trip right now.

Daniel shows off the top of his wild asparagus plant. His horse is tall, over 17 hands, so… it’s a tall plant!
Evening ride is over… let’s go home!

It certainly looks like a beautiful evening there for this gather…peaceful.
