Fire update: Red Canyon Fire is now 113,925 acres with 28% containment. High heat and dry conditions aren’t helping. Tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest day of the year.
The wind kept the smoke from us today but just shoved it farther north. As the sun set, Vernon told me to look out the window. I did and quickly jumped into the side by side to get a better vantage point.

Zoomed in. It’s about 20 miles away as the crow flies. Our badlands pasture is out there. There’s only a couple of dirt roads out there to stop it and I’d feel much better if they were four lanes wide! Keep praying for rain…
