GOODNESS. It’s not only Back to School Time, it’s also Back to Sports Time.
I missed the little girls’ volleyball game yesterday, as I took my sister and nephew for a quick picnic up on the mountain before he had to head back to Texas today.
Then today:
- We missed Wyatt’s game in Basin… a short playoff between three teams, and, of course, Kaycee played the first and second games. Vernon had to run up the mountain to check on a broken water tank and arrived home too late to make the hour drive. Never fear, I subscribed to the high school network that streams games yesterday. The cameras are computer controlled probably using motion detecting. Hey, this year they actually have “instant replay”. So, even though we didn’t make the drive, we watched on the tv.
- Then Jaxon played against the St. Stephen’s Eagles. Ten Sleep lost by a touchdown or so, but it was a good game. Cheering on middle school boys is fun… and I love it when refs and coaches try to teach the finer points of the game as it’s played.
- Since St. Stephen’s doesn’t have a high school team, Quinlan’s team scrimmaged against each other for just a quarter. The refs stuck around, enjoying themselves a little more lighthearted than normal.
Yes. Four different teams. Our fall may be busy.
And, as usual, we also have cow work to do tomorrow and the next day! Labor Day is for laboring, right?
No pics of Wyatt.
Jaxon is number 20.

Quinlan’s number is 2.

No volleyball pics of the girls, but Reagan did make them help her lead a cheer during the football game!

Your fall will be BUSY!! and fun!
