Little Things

Posted on December 5, 2025December 5, 2025

Our wreath is finished and it looks great, especially in low light.

Tonight was the auction for the Festival of Trees and the wreath brought $625. We don’t receive that money but just a share of the pot, whatever they chose to give us.

Tomorrow the display is open to the public and they vote on their selection for People’s Choice. Fingers crossed, it’s us.

The guys went to Riverton to watch our yearling heifers sell. These are the ones that didn’t make our cut. Plus a few older cows that need to go down the road. I stayed home and watched it on the internet.

Victoria and I have crossed a milestone on the Choctaw Trail of Tears virtual walk, but I’ll share that tomorrow.

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
