Tanks and Troughs

Posted on January 5, 2026January 5, 2026

With most of the pipeline laid, the guys have turned to installing tanks. Brandon has been doing some all along, but now everyone can join in the fun.

This tank is in the corral and we’ve chosen to put it on a cement base.

Daniel gives instructions to Vernon’s delicate handling of the block.

The pipes come up through and the fittings will be applied but we hit a snag. Somehow, we’re short a fitting. Curses! We seem to be buying Worland out of fittings… Vernon makes some calls, and luckily, a neighbor has what we need. We continue to set the pad…

Megan will be bringing more fittings… and we’ll continue on with tanks and troughs!

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
