Vernon and I went on a little adventure today and I was all set to share but my camera is refusing to find my wifi and download photos. Our internet provider brought us a new router… I have no idea what was wrong with the old one… probably nothing. The installer insisted we use a password with it. It has done nothing but creat havoc. The printer didn’t work. The tv didn’t work unless it was on Dish. Lordy, I was ready to call the guy and make him take the stupid password off! It’s not like I live in town, nobody was gonna borrow my wifi except the UPS guy, and if he wanted to text his wife, he was welcome to! Anyway, one small irritant later, I still can’t figure out why my camera doesn’t want to talk to my iPad.
Luckily, I did take a few pics with my phone today of further progress with my first peg loom adventure.

I chose to weave plastic bags from the store. They’re free. I have a lot on hand. If this failed, I wouldn’t be upset to throw them all away! The process is simply alternating forward and behind the pegs.

Once you’ve woven far enough up your pegs, simply pull them up, one at a time, and reinsert them in their hole. The bags slide down the string and you’re ready to weave more.

I’m sitting on my couch, and the rug is beginning to grow down over my knees. I have not rushed and I’ve taken breaks, but I’m impressed on how fast it is adding up.

Right now it is loose and you can see the string in between the rows. As I go, the rug will compact, getting tighter and more cushioned. This is fun! I’m already thinking about what else I could use to weave…
