Well, the snow and cold arrived. Four inches of snow and a high of 17 degrees today. It’s currently -6 and there’s frost edging the corners of my windows. The guys continue on the pipeline and hauling hay.
We held Reagan’s birthday party. Unbelievably, she turned eight yesterday! Megan’s birthday was also yesterday, but without fanfare here as they were away.
I gave her “A Home for Steamboat”, a great kids book about Wyoming’s iconic bucking horse, by Casey Rislov and Zak Pullen.
Enclosed was also a custom drawn bat by Zak Pullen, who was nice enough to draw in Reagan’s favorite animal even though the book is about a horse!
What was the unexpected hit of the party was the chicken harness.
Tess just had to try it out.
”Wing” was “volunteered” to try it on.
Who knew walking your chicken could be so entertaining?
