Pecking Order

Posted on December 13, 2025December 13, 2025

I went down to see the progress the guys have made on the pipeline. They were working on getting the lines into the corral.

The pipeline now runs down to the corral and it will T off into tanks in the interior.

I went on a side quest… retrieving Daniel’s dog from the neighbor’s and then returning to buy some chickens from her as well.

These girls are just starting to lay, which is great because my girls are slowing down in the dark of winter. They were snatched from sleep and installed in my coop. They will wake up in a new place.

My old hens are not impressed. A pecking order will establish itself tomorrow but we will be enjoying fresh eggs once again. I’ll take better photos in better light, too, as some of these girls are gorgeous!

Hens look cozy! Thumbs up for ALL the work it’s taking for the pipeline.

Hopefully it won’t get too rowdy in the hen house
