Eagle

Posted on May 3, 2026May 3, 2026

Finally, after years of contemplating it, but never jumping in… the Ten Sleep Library has decided to enter a float in the 4th of July Parade. What better year than the 250th anniversary?
My job entails a bald eagle…

Hmmmm. After much debate, I decided to make the base out of cardboard. I cut out the basic shape and glued it with flour paste. It actually is pretty strong! I will have to grind down some areas and most likely add to others.

The talons will be facing forward… and I made some claws out of clay.

I think they look pretty good. But let’s break out the paint!

I’m very happy with the talons! I’m hoping the body of the eagle turns out as well.
