While I’ve been working on my outhouse door, Vernon has been up on the mountain, digging another… you guessed it… water pipeline. This one is for Daniel. I finally had to drive up and have a peek before it was totally finished.

90% is complete. A spring from further up the hill will flow into this white tank. Or, during the cold months, turned down into a metal tank or completely off. The solar panels power a pump that can be used to pump waaaay down a pipeline to another tank.

The pipeline follows the road and up and over the hill.

This was one of the nicer sections of pipeline Vernon dug. I don’t know if he’s ever dug through so many rocks! A little backfill, some minor finishing touches, a new tank and Daniel will have a good setup!

What a project! Hats off to those who conceived the idea of a solar pump. And to Vernon etc. for all the planning and work involved in the installation. Very impressive!
