A Little

Posted on November 27, 2012April 3, 2015

If anyone would like buy me a franchise for a Hobby Lobby in Worland, I would love you for ever and ever and we would make TONS of money, because there is NO PLACE TO BUY CRAFTS IN THE BIG HORN BASIN!  Oh, there’s a shop somewhere… maybe Cody?  But not one that handles everything like Hobby Lobby… and I really miss a craft store.

So, instead, I hit up the thrift stores for a little re-purposing, up-cycling, whatever the term is now…

I was looking for large wooden letters…

and Score!

I found these three HO HO HO wooden signs.

Red, green, blue… country cutesie which is out of style and definitely not my style!  I didn’t even like the little elves and Santa.  (I’m more of a Father Christmas kind of girl)

Let’s see what my jigsaw can do… yup.  Got rid of the extra parts of Santa and elves.

A little sanding… a little painting…

A Little Golden Book… (also from the thrift store)

A little Mod Podge…

ooooh, looking good…  I’m not finished yet, but I’m a-likin’ it!

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
