Amazed At What I Do

Posted on September 27, 2013

Yup.  Snow.

Here’s my house as I was leaving for work this morning.

first snowIt is HEAVY.  and WET.

Branches breaking off and falling on our roof was our wake-up call this morning.  It made you just a little nervous…  Everything was sagging under the weight.

Then, for kicks and giggles, I decided to take a photo in the same location as yesterday’s fog along the creek.   I had to take Vernon’s little Ford Ranger to work today, and I had the window rolled down to take a quick snap from the edge of the highway like yesterday.  Unfortunately, I met oncoming traffic on the curve with just enough time to flip on the windshield wipers, but not to roll up my window.

Splash!

He got me with the 3″ of slush on the highway!  Within 4 minutes of leaving for work, nicely coiffed and purty… I had road slush in my hair, on my face, and, thankfully, on my heavy coat!  I broke out in laughter, amazed at what I do to get pics for this blog!

Lovely pics. We barely get a frost on our farm and our garden grows tropical trees such as hibiscus and frangipani, so snow photos are quite a novelty.
