Waves of Rain

Posted on May 26, 2014

I helped a smidge with the AI’ing this morning.  Barely enough to count, but I was there for a bit.

The kids have just finished AI’ing these girls.  See how the silver tag from yesterday is now collision orange?  It makes it pretty easy to see who’s been ridden.

Once they’ve done a bunch, we’ll load them up and haul them to a pasture.  It empties the corral and makes it easier to see the rest that are left to do!

Most of the day was spent in yardwork, gardening, a hot dog picnic for Memorial Day, and this evening, s’mores by the campfire.  It was the twins first time with a night time campfire and the chance to burn a marshmallow and let me tell you, it was a BIG HIT!  Nothing cuter than a two year old saying “marshmallow”!

This evening was the kind of light photographers LOVE and if you can’t take a good picture in this light…

For instance… with no filters… this yellow cloud brought us waves of rain.

Interesting follow-up on the cows. No ramp for them to get into the truck? ha ha 🙂

Sounds like a wonderful Memorial Day for you. And that cute picture of Quinlan helping you plant onions, is simply precious!
