Well, I escaped the ranch for the past two days… attending the Jerri Burton Memorial Garden Walk in Casper. I haven’t made it the past two years, and I just made the statement I was attending this year! Something will always come up on a ranch, you can guarantee that, so I just walked away! I still think it’s great that the ladies from mom’s church continue this… what a wonderful tribute.
And guess, what? My sister-in-law saved the sign I made for the inaugural year of the walk! It’s looking a little rough, but I remember doing it at the last minute, raiding Mom’s craft supplies to make it!
Flowers were discussed and identified. Visiting was rampant. Garden decorations were pointed out and examined. Cool water was refreshing, to drink and in water features…
(I liked Cinderella’s carriage… though I think the two dwarves are confused about which story they’re in…)
Thank you to the ladies from the Casper First Church of the Nazarene for keeping this going… thanks to my sister-in-law for treating me to a movie night out (I still can’t remember what was the last movie I saw at a theater!), supper out, breakfast in, and my old bedroom to sleep in! Thanks so much!
And, Mom, if you’re listening… You are still so loved by so many people…

That’s really sweet. Your mother must have been very special.
That is a beautiful tribute to your Mom…. Know you miss her so much. Blessings…..
It was so nice to have you here! I hope this goes on forever for Jerry! Thanks for taking those pictures, especially since I didn’t get my iPad in my purse! We saw some beautiful gardens! You deserved a day away from that busy ranch! We don’t have red dirt here but with a lot of effort, this clay soil can turn into some nice gardens!
