This.
This is what he was born to do.
On one hand, I love watching him do this. Unbidden. Quiet. I *love* quiet.
On the other, his hopskip cracks my heart.
At the end of the mile, going through the gate, he lays down exhausted, and lets the heifers file through on their own.
He had SO MUCH FUN.
We all should enjoy ourselves as much.

It’s a joy to see Lucas so happy doing what he so enjoys doing!
Precious dog… what a joy to see him doing what he loves ….
Lucas has such a great spirit.
I noticed several of the cows kicking at him. Has he ever been kicked or is he just too quick? Great video.
Wow. That is really cool. I’m glad you can find “easy” jobs for Lucas–he obviously loves it!
Good boy,Lucas! After watching Mags deal with her leg, I would guess that while you SEE Lucas’ off gait with his front leg, it’s the damage to his rear end that tires him out the most.
Another great video Carol. Wonderful scenery. For me it was a few minutes of wonderful relaxation before my day began. Thank you.
