Holy cow! What a rocking day at the library today!
Decorating, tons of patrons, school facilities guy, more decorating, organizing and setting up new items for the auction… refreshed the 6th graders on research methods… opening packages, updating library facebook and emailing photos… answering questions, a few moments of dusting, rearranging and cleaning up the bulletin board… oh, Story Time was in there (thanks for sharing the gingerbread men!)… more book research, copying, and maybe you get the idea. The list of things I DIDN’T get to had five items on it still… Whew!
Our Friends of the Library wreath (version 2.0) for tomorrow’s Festival of Trees Auction in Worland.
Then some of my decorations.
A Christmas Carol is the theme… Tiny Tim’s chair…
Victorian Christmas postcards…
The entire display case…
Above our office area… snowflakes, ornaments, icicles…
The boss’s window garland closeup…
Bulletin board…
Finally…
A closeup of my chalkboard…
Whew…
Find me here!
TKU for the display idea for Christmas Carol. Our adult SS class has an Advent study based on A Christmas Carol. I had a doll-sized chair, made a top hat, crutch, painted a thread spool black for the candlestick and had extra damper chain from a furnace. Couldn’t come up with a small violin. It’s the centerpiece for our coffee time between church and SS.
Enjoy your blogs, photos, etc.
Now, the chain… what a great addition! Good thinking!
Everything looks very nice. I have a question though. Why is Tiny Tim’s crutch so long? He was, after all, …tiny.
Very nice!
This looks great!
I wish, I wish, I wish I could see this in person. Boy Howdy!!
Amen!!!!
Wow! all that special decorating took a LOT of time! I really like the Dickens theme and the Victorian Christmas card display – well, EVERYTHING!
Beautiful work! Love all of it but especially your display case.

Wow!!! What a lot of work (& love) went into those decorations. A great work environment for cold December days.
