Hello, I’ve been following your blog for a few months and really enjoy reading it. I was sorry to hear about your cow and calf, doesn’t matter whether it’s a housepet or a casual aquaintance it is always hard to lose an animal.
On a lighter note we have lots of Magpies where I live (down here) and they are particularly agro at nesting/mating time around October. At this time until mid winter we have (where I live that is, not everywhere) huge flocks of Corellas. They are so noisy and they even fly throughout the night, I have no idea why, I thought birds, except owls, snuggled down for the night but not these, groan.

A beautiful and striking picture. I’ve never seen a Magpie before!

Have you ever seen the inside of their nest? So worth the trouble to view. Great picture.

Lovely blue sky Carol. Just a grey, damp morning here. Hoping your weekend goes well especially in the maternity pens.
