I know you are reading this on Christmas day, but I’m writing it on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve is the birthday of Johnny, and I thought it was about time I gave more than a passing Happy Birthday to him at the bottom of a post!
I just wanted everyone to know that this man means so much to all of us… Father, father-in-law, grandpa, great-grandpa… He’s been a role model in so many ways… I used to watch him as a clueless newlywed, figuring if I followed him around, I could learn about horses and cows and fencing and driving and working and calving and… well, the ranch. It worked. Now I’m definitely not saying I know as much as he does, FAR FROM IT. But I learned an amazing amount. I had a lot to learn!
Along the way, he’s been the steady rock, the guy who can tease me, a man of many stories – if I can get him started – and a pretty dog gone good father-in-law!
So, Johnny, I hope your birthday was wonderful… I want you to know that I love you, we all do… and we are all so blessed to have you in our lives!
